The summer charter season will begin at the Łódź airport in June. Travel agencies offer seats on 11 planes a week to Antalya, Bodrum, Burgas and four Greek islands: Crete, Corfu, Rhodes and Zakynthos. In addition to charter flights, the airport offers year-round regular connections to Alicante on the Spanish Costa Blanca and to Milan Bergamo in Italy. These are perfect places for those who like to spend time on a beach, hike high mountains or visit Italian small towns.

“It is important that residents of Łódź and residents of our region demand holiday trips from travel agencies departing from their airport. It's very convenient, especially when traveling with entire families. You can get to the city terminal by bus or taxi, and two or three hours later land in some beautiful place by the azure sea. This year, the choice of holiday destinations from Łódź is so large that there is really no need to fly on holiday from Warsaw or Katowice," says Dr. Anna Midera, President of Łódź Airport.

Türkiye, Bulgaria and four Greek islands

“During the holidays, we plan to serve 45,000 passengers on charter flights. According to our calculations, 4,000 more travel agency customers will take advantage of the offer in the summer season than a year ago. Back then, most people from Łódź flew to the Turkish Riviera and it will be the same this year. Five planes carrying almost a thousand passengers will fly to Antalya every week. The offer to Greece also includes four planes a week, which will take Łódź residents to Crete, Corfu, Rhodes and Zakynthos. One plane a week will fly to Burgas in Bulgaria," says Robert Makowski, Commercial Director of Łódź Airport.

Türkiye is now unrivaled. Throughout 2022, it welcomed 13 million tourists, including 770,000 Poles resting in Turkish resorts. This gave us fourth place among citizens of countries spending their holidays there. The best quality hotels at moderate prices and a rich all-inclusive offer encourage you to relax. For three years, Poles have no longer needed visas, and for a year even passports, to enter Turkey. ID cards are enough.

New destinations for summer 2023 are Bodrum in Turkey on the Aegean Riviera and two Greek islands - Corfu and Zakynthos. Both are located in the Ionian Sea and are considered the greenest of all Greek islands. Corfu offers beautiful beaches, bays, the capital's Old Town that belongs on the UNESCO list and the famous Canal of Love, which provides love with reciprocity to those who sail through it. Zakynthos is an island famous for the breeding grounds of the caretta-caretta sea turtle and one of the most beautiful beaches in the world in Shipwreck Bay.

A beach in Alicante, the Alps or Lake Como?

For several months, Ryanair has been offering regular connections from Łódź to Alicante and Milan. These are perfect destinations for summer holidays. Alicante is located on the Costa Blanca, which stretches for almost 250 km along the Mediterranean Sea. There are numerous resorts there, perfect for both people who like quiet relaxation and partying until dawn - Alicante, Benidorm, Torrevieja, Calpe, Altea, and Santa Pola. You can go to Alicante on your own by purchasing plane tickets or booking a hotel or apartment online. You can also buy the entire tourist package at one of the travel agencies and not worry about flights, hotels, airport transfers, meals and insurance.

Milan and Lombardy are a great option for the summer. You can spend time visiting Milan, Bergamo, Verona; rest on Lake Como or Garda; hiking in the Alps and Dolomites. From here you can go to Liguria or Tuscany.

You can fly to northern Italy on your own or - as in the case of Alicante - use a package from a travel agency.

Anyone who would like to visit Lisbon, Malaga, Marseille, Pisa, Edinburgh or Venice can fly from the Łódź airport by a cheap Ryanair plane to Brussels Charleroi and there change to another plane of this carrier.
