How many passengers went on holiday from Lodz Airport?

11.08.2025

Since the beginning of the summer season, more than 100,000 tourists have flown from Łódź Airport in search of the sun. Most chose Turkey, followed closely by Italy and Spain.

“This year, the offer of charter flights from Łódź is very rich. Customers of travel agencies who prefer organised all-inclusive holidays can choose from nine destinations: Albania, Bulgaria, Greece (Crete, Rhodes, and Zakynthos), Egypt (Marsa Alam and Sharm El Sheikh), Tunisia, and Turkey. From the beginning of May to the end of July, just under 55,000 passengers travelled on holidays with travel agencies. If we add to this the number of Ryanair passengers who travelled independently during the summer period to classic holiday spots — Alicante, Malaga, or Bergamo — we handled over 100,000 holiday passengers between May and July,” says Robert Makowski, Commercial Director of Łódź Airport.

Of course, the largest group of Ryanair travellers prefer to organise their summer holidays on their own. These are mainly singles, couples, groups of friends, and families with older children. They buy tickets themselves, rent hotels or apartments, and plan sightseeing itineraries. These people manage well abroad and speak foreign languages — but not only them. Poles who have permanently relocated to Spain or Italy also offer various services for tourists via social media: apartment rentals, airport transfers, local sightseeing tours, or car rentals — all with service in Polish. Thanks to this, many people gain the confidence to travel independently. It’s worth noting that even on these routes, you can find package offers from travel agencies.

The holidays are still ongoing. You can still take a charter holiday to Albania, Bulgaria, Egypt, Greece, Tunisia, or Turkey. Planes will be flying until mid-October. For those who prefer Spanish or Italian vibes, Ryanair flights to Alicante, Malaga, and Milan Bergamo are available from Łódź all year round.

Most popular tourist destinations from May to July:

Antalya (charters) – over 28,000 passengers

Alicante and Malaga (Ryanair) – over 23,000 passengers

Milan Bergamo (Ryanair) – over 22,000 passengers
