"I always start my Christmas rally from Łódź, from the best city, which is becoming more and more beautiful every day, and from the airport, which has more and more connections." said Santa Claus after landing in Łódź. On Tuesday, in the frosty but sunny weather, children were waiting for him on the airport apron.

This is the 7th edition of the "Santa Claus Landing" charity event. For the first time, Santa Claus arrived in Łódź by Ryanair.

Santa Claus landed in Łódź after 11 am. He went down the steps of the plane with a bag full of sweets, while employees of the Ground Service Department were unloading gifts from the luggage hold. But first, formalities had to be completed. The Border Guard checked Santa's passport, affixed a stamp, and only then our special guest could say hello to the young ones.

He said: "This magical, joyful time is approaching when Santa Claus gives gifts to children and everyone sends each other best wishes. Like every year, I came to you because I heard that the kindest and nicest children in the world live in Łódź. I had to visit you first and give you the gifts you asked me for. I always start my Christmas rally from Łódź, from the best city, which is becoming more and more beautiful every day, and from the airport, which has more and more connections. Congratulations to the President of the Łódź Airport. It's nice to see that you have more and more interesting destinations, e.g. to Malaga, Alicante or Milan, and that you have more and more passengers. I am also glad that the connection to London with which I arrived today is available every day - this will make traveling all over Europe much easier. You wrote to me in a letter that there will be even more new connections from Łódź. And I, as Santa Claus does, make all the dreams come true." said our guest from the Far North.

On behalf of the airport, Anna Midera, president of the Łódź Airport, welcomed him: "Welcome to Łódź, Santa Claus! We really need you here to fulfill our wishes. It's good to know that somewhere in the Far North you read our letters, follow us and support us this much. Thank you for meeting us for the 7th time at the Łódź Airport during the "Santa Claus Landing" charity event" - said Anna Midera. – “I would also like to thank all the campaign partners and wonderful donors. This year, as many as 24 companies have become Santa's helpers and we bow to them. During the campaign, we try to prepare individual gifts that the children asked for. The packages include, for example, horse riding boots, make-up products for teenagers, strollers for dolls, and even a fuel gift card donated by airport firefighters for a hospice. May this be the season that'll bring a smile to the faces of all children. May the magic of Christmas bring peace, serenity and love to everyone.”

Then everyone entered the Arrivals Hall, where gifts were spinning on the baggage claim carousel. Each child received a specially prepared gift, which they had previously ordered from the airport's SnowMaidens. After the meeting, Santa's entourage led by the "Follow me" car, which shows the way to taxiing planes every day, drove through Łódź and visited those children and young ones who, for various reasons, could not come to the airport but were very much looking forward to meeting Santa. They visited, among others: orphanages at ul. Nawrot, Zbocze, Lniana, as well as Łódzkie Hospicjum dla Dzieci Łupkowa and Fundacja Dom w Łodzi.
