At the end of the year, the website waszaturystyka.pl always announces a list of 100 people who have the greatest impact on tourism in Poland. It includes the heads of airlines, airports, travel agencies, tourist organizations and the hotel industry. Only two people from Łódź were on the list: Tomasz Koralewski, president of Łódź Tourism Organization (28th place) and Dr. Anna Midera, president of Łódź Airport (64th place). The reason behind it is that- among other contributions to the industry - waszaturystyka.pl appreciated the cooperation in organizing the "Routes Europe 2023 Forum in Łódź", one of the most prestigious aviation business events in Europe, which attracted over 1,200 representatives of European air carriers and airports to Poland." Here is the full justification for the jury:
"Anna Midera, president of the management board of the Łódź Airport: PhD in economics, expert in creating strategies, mainly in the area of transport. President of the Łódź Airport for seven years. She was responsible for organizing the Routes Europe 2023 Forum in Łódź, one of the most prestigious events aviation business in Europe, which brought over 1,200 representatives of European air carriers and airports to Poland.
Previously, an assistant at the University of Łódź, head of the Department of Transport Policy and International Affairs at the Ministry of Infrastructure. She participated in European initiatives related to shaping transport policy and coordinating issues prepared for the needs of the Committee for European Affairs."
We are very proud that out of 15 Polish airports, only 7 CEOs made it to the list. In addition to Anna Midera, the participants include the presidents of airports in Warsaw, Kraków, Katowice, Gdańsk, Rzeszów and Poznań.
