The Routes Europe 2022 aviation forum in Bergen, Norway, has ended. Next year, Lodz will be the host city of this largest aviation industry event in Europe.
The handover ceremony was held at the "Promised Land" convention. The speech by the president of the airport referred i.a. to the Władysław’s Reymont (who is the patron of Lodz Airport) novel and the Andrzej’s Wajda film from 1975. The president Anna Midera, PhD, the team of the Łódź airport, and the president of the Lodz Tourist Organization - Tomasz Koralewski - appeared in authentic costumes from the "Promised Land" movie.
During the closing ceremony, the representative of Avinor (the owner of airports in Norway) Mr. Gaute S. Riise, handed over the duties of the future host of Routes Europe touring statuette to Dr. Anna Midera.
During the handover lunch, the delegates had the opportunity to try Polish cuisine, including 3 types of dumplings, sour soup, and sausages.
